What to know
The Florida Gators 14 will take on the Oklahoma Sooners on the road at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday at the Lloyd Noble Center. Both teams entered the competition bolstered by victories in their previous games.
Florida was simply unstoppable on Sunday, when they easily defeated Troy Trojan at home by 84-45. Six players on Gators scored double digits: defender Tiree Appleby (12), guard Myreon Jones (12), forward Anthony Duruji (11), guard Phlandrous Fleming Jr. (11), forward Colin Castleton (10), and protect Brandon McKissic (ten).
Meanwhile, Oklahoma certainly made it, but they escaped with a 65-62 win over UCF Knights on Saturday. The Sooners ‘Guard Jordan Goldwire fill in the stats sheet, get 11 points and seven assists.
Without any buzzer beaters, Florida was expected to win in a tight contest. They might be worth a chance against the disparity as they are currently on a 5-game ATS win streak.
Florida was in impressive distance but couldn’t close the gap as the two teams previously met three seasons ago when they fell 65-60 to Oklahoma. Can the Gators avenge their defeat, or will history repeat itself? We will find out soon.
