COLUMBUS, Ohio (WJW) – Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles is warning the public about fake postcards being sent to Ohioans.
These fake postcards tell Ohioans their driver’s license or ID card has expired and explain how to fix them.
The tag includes grammatical errors and leads people to an unofficial website.
BMV warns that they do not issue these postcards. Those with an expiration date on their driver’s license and card of March 9, 2020 and then need to renew it by July 1, 2021.
Anyone with questions can contact BMV at (844) 644-6268 or by visiting their actual website, bmv.ohio.gov.
