Oblivion malfunction has royal legion soldiers flying in the air

Oblivion is largely considered one of the best Elder Scrolls games, but like Skyrim, it also has the majority of glitches, as one fan discovered.

When it comes The Elder Scrolls series, they may be revered, but many fans know that they in general are notorious for being buggy, some minor, some hilarious, but sometimes breaking some gameplay. But problems in the Bethesda franchise return, and one fan has discovered that the fourth installment in the epic fantasy series, Oblivion, there’s no way to avoid some pretty cool mishaps and break the immersion.


In a recent post on Oblivion Subreddit, user FoehammersRvng uploaded a short clip from the classic RPG, which shows the player engaging with a Royal guard. However, it was not an ordinary verbal exchange, as the guard in question was seen hovering in the air. The game zooms in a long way to initiate a conversation between the player and the NPC. Apart from the sight of the guardians hovering a few hundred meters in the air, and their character models convulsing slightly, the brief conversation continued as usual.

Conceivably, the comments were flooded with other users, who were amused by the apparently unintentional glitch in the game. One joked that the world of Tamriel would definitely be attacked if the Guardians were “stuck in the sky”. The clip ends before the viewer gets to know what has become the celebrated guardian OblivionBeautiful Royal City. All in all, it’s not a game-breaking bug since the NPC isn’t a quest character, but it’s pretty funny to watch, albeit slightly disrupting the overall gameplay.

For a game that came out in 2006, it’s interesting to know that there are still some harmless bugs that are noticed by players.
