NYPD Searching For Prisoner Who Escaped East River Jail Barge – CBS New York

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The NYPD is looking for a prisoner who escaped a jail barge on the East River.
Police mentioned the male prisoner escaped simply after 7 a.m. Saturday.
Police described the prisoner as a white man in his 30s who’s roughly 5 toes, 8 inches tall.

The barge, often called the Vernon C. Bain Middle, is docked close to Halleck Avenue in Hunts Point.
