NYC shootings leave 5 people wounded: NYPD

According to the NYPD, at least five people were injured in three shootings in Manhattan and Brooklyn late Friday through Saturday.

In the most recent incident of gun violence, two men were shot in Irving Square Park near Halsey Street and Wilson Avenue in Bushwick around 12:30 a.m., police said.

The victims are expected to survive, police said. It is not clear what led to the attack.

Earlier, in Sunset Park, a 38-year-old man was critically injured when he was shot inside a 58th Street building near Eighth Avenue around 11 p.m., the NYPD said.

The circumstances of that attack are also unclear.

At the same time in Inwood, two women were hit by bullets outside a bar, police said.

The victims, aged 38 and 26, were all hit in the right thigh in front of El Jefe Sports Cantina on Dyckman Street, according to police.

The 38-year-old woman was taken to Harlem Hospital and the 26-year-old woman was treated at St Barnabas Hospital in The Bronx, NYPD said. Both are expected to survive.

Police are also investigating a shooting involving two women. Both were stabbed in the right thigh and are expected to survive.

According to police, the gunman fled in a black and white Acura RDX.
