Despite component shortages and logistical frustrations, Nvidia’s 30 . series graphics card In a supply shortage, the GPU manufacturer continues to move forward with new and improved products. 2022 is looking strong, with leaks hinting at releases for the 40 Series GPUs, as well as iterations on the 3070, 3080, and 3090. A recent leak also points to a new card, Nvidia RTX 3050, can be built to compete with new products from both AMD and Intel.

The leak comes from VideoCardz.com, following previous rumors regarding the RTX 3050. Previous rumors hinted that Nvidia could work on both the 3050 and 3050 Ti, but these cards were shelved as the focus shifted to Nvidia’s current lineup of 30 Series graphics cards. A new source not only says that the 3050 is back on Nvidia’s roadmap, but is also expected to arrive in Q2 2022.

The RTX 3050 is said to have a “GA106-150” GPU, described as offering performance between the currently available and upcoming GTX 1660 Super. RTX 2060 12GB. It is noteworthy that the GTX 1660 Super was launched at a price of $229, while the rumored price of the RTX 2060 12GB was $300. Suffice it to say that the leak configures the RTX 3050 to be priced for low-end gaming PC builds. It’s a 30 Series graphics card, with support for ray tracing and Nvidia DLSS, but at an affordable price.

intel arc graphics card roadmap

Up to this point, Nvidia has no real reason to release the RTX 3050. They’re using all of their silicon to sell the expensive RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090 cards and make more money than the RTX 3050. However, things have changed. Now AMD seems to be getting ready to release its 6500XT in the early months of 2022. And perhaps more importantly, Intel will also enter the gaming GPU market with its own low-end Arc A128 GPU in the first half of 2022.

With the competition suddenly showing itself, Nvidia seems poised to finally enter this price range with a proper RTX 30 Series graphics card. Supply is certainly limited, so Nvidia can focus on higher-end cards while also addressing component shortages. But it will also likely have impressive performance compared to products from AMD and Intel, even if Intel’s arc “easier to grasp. “

The first half of 2022 will be very interesting for PC gamers. Competition at sub-$300 may not stand out High end PC gamer, but it’s likely just the first battle in what will build into a much bigger and more exciting fight through the end of 2022. Look forward to more information about it. Nvidia’s RTX 3050 and other graphics cards in the coming months.
