Notorious Russian mercenaries withdraw from Africa Ready for Ukraine

ABUJA, Nigeria — The The infamous Wagner Corporation—Of one of President Putin’s closest associates — is pulling dozens of skilled mercenaries out of Africa to send them to Eastern Europe, where Russian forces are threatening Ukraine, The Daily Beast learned.

An unprecedented number of Wagner mercenaries left the country for Eastern Europe in January, and more are set to hit the road in the coming weeks, according to two senior Central African Republic (CAR) military officers.

An officer working at military headquarters in the capital CAR, Bangui, told The Daily Beast: “Usually when we hear that some people have left, we find out that they are just a few — a couple. when it’s five or six people within a month. “This is the first time we’ve heard that dozens of people have departed in a month.”
