Notably, First Lady Jill Biden’s Christmas Decorations are less bloodthirsty than in previous years

It’s the Monday after Thanksgiving, and people remember the immortal sayings of Melania Trump: “I’m working on Christmas stuff… Who would criticize Christmas furniture and decorations like this?” It’s the most real thing the woman has said in her four years as FLOTUS, and it’s no surprise that it sounds real. She was talking to her friend who at the time happened to be recording for her. But to Trump’s credibility, who couldn’t relate at least a little to the sentiment? The holidays suddenly hit us, and we all had to plunge headfirst into cheers, fun, and a snowy aesthetic. This is good and good if you are naturally always performing well. But if you’re a little let down, all those year-end expectations can really seem like insurmountable pressure. And it comes to Melania Trump.
You know who understands are not Mind her having to work for Christmas? You know who you doubt the whole decor and events and parties don’t mind at all? Jill Biden. Today, the first lady revealed her own tradition, and it looks a lot like hers.
The ghosts of past decorations lingered in the mind’s eye. Remember the threat red tree hall? Turns out a room would look like a bloody horror scene if you didn’t use red. Remember something white word ball branches that so easily like a nightmare? Clean minimalism has given way to a homier decor fit for a teacher. The tree is decorated with Photograph of the Biden family. Flowers and butterflies are key moments of departure from more traditional design.
And remember a woman who watched ballet every day? Now, the first lady reads a book, one inspired by her late stepson, Beau, about God bless the army for children. The theme is “gifts from the heart”, beautiful and spacious, not obscured by too much specificity. In it are “things that unite and heal, and bring us together,” according to Wast Wing. There are giant red gift boxes surrounding the entrance, pigeons in the tree, ribbons that read “kindness” and “hope,” a small replica of Camp David, the official residence of the President. Biden thanked the 100 volunteers from DC who helped create it. And though thanks to the pandemic the White House is still unable to host visitors, the whole thing exudes comfort for a given America and a profound SURPRISE in her element.
