On the eve of fashion awards, which is scheduled to return to the Royal Albert Hall in London on Monday night, WWD looks back at some of the most notable winners from throughout the years:

John Galliano is another fashion favorite of the day. He has also won the Designer of the Year award 4 times in 1987, 1994, 1995, and 1997, in which he shared the title with Alexander McQueen. In 2009, he was honored with excellent performance in the BFC fashion design award.
