Wednesday afternoon the GOES 17 satellite tv for pc may simply {photograph} smoke from six giant wildfires in Northern California:

  • Monument Hearth, on the Shasta-Trinity NF was 15,000 acres Wednesday morning, ½ mile west of Huge Bar alongside Freeway 299 and east of Cedar Flat. It’s threatening Huge Bar, Del Loma, Huge Flat, and Burnt Ranch.
  • McFarland Hearth on the Shasta-Trinity NF Wednesday morning was 20,005 acres.  Evacuation orders are in place for the neighborhood of Wildwood.
  • River Advanced on the Klamath NF consists of roughly 22 fires. Of those, 6 have been contained and are in patrol standing. Of these which might be energetic, most are ½ to twenty acres. The most important are Haypress at 5,500 acres, Cronan at 450 acres, and Summer season at 2,500 acres, for a complete of 8,487 acres.
  • Antelope Hearth, roughly 2,400 acres, Klamath NF, was very energetic Wednesday afternoon with fireplace within the higher tree cover. Spot fires have been noticed 1/2 mile forward of the primary fireplace. Wednesday afternoon air sources couldn’t help firefighters on the bottom on account of poor visibility. It’s shifting north and impacting Tennant and Fish Camp.
  • Dixie Fire, on the Lassen NF, Plumas NF, and CAL FIRE. It was very energetic Tuesday night time and Wednesday afternoon and has burned roughly 274,139 acres, threatening a number of communities, together with Chester and Greenville. It has crossed Freeway 89 in a number of areas and Wednesday morning was near crossing Freeway 36.
  • River Fire close to Colfax, California about 40 miles northeast of Sacramento.
