North Battleford teen charged with child pornography

ONE North Battleford, Sask. The teenager has been charged with possession child pornography after an investigation by Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE).

A police statement said the investigation involved the possession of child pornography through a popular online social networking application.

On February 3, officers from the ICE unit executed a search warrant at a home in North Battleford, which has been identified as the site of the crimes.

Officers have seized the electronic devices for further forensic analysis and an ongoing investigation.

The 14-year-old boy was also charged with providing child pornography. He was released from North Battleford Provincial Court on several conditions.
