North America 2022 DPC Winter Tour Regional League: Fixtures, standings and results

North America had some key moments in 2021 Dota Pro Circuit, but none of the teams that ultimately made it to the final round of The International 10 made much of a splash during the first few rounds of the main event.

Over the course of the season, the two biggest teams in the region, Evil Geniuses and Quincy Crew, have undergone some major changes. And, while the initiators and several other teams shuffle their rosters, Team Undying remains strong and will compete with its TI10 roster when the Winter Tour kicks off DPC 2022.

Prize group and form

Between now and January 22, 16 teams will compete in two different divisions for a place in the Winter Professionals, a chance to move up to the top or avoid relegation from the region altogether on the next Tour. follow.

For NA, the top two teams in the upper region at the conclusion of the Winter Tour regional tournament will be invited to the Winter Tour, with the first-place team qualifying for the knockout stage and the second-place team being reached the group stage. However, this season, DPC points are used to help teams qualify for TI at the end of the year. They will be awarded from the Majors, while the regional leagues will expand further into the year we get them.

This means that the Winter Tour’s regional league will give 300 DPC points for first place, while the third Tour’s regional league will give 500 points.

Each region, regardless of main rep has a total prize pool of $280,000 per Tour, with only the bottom two teams in the lower division receiving no prizes at the end of the Tour. In addition, the bottom two teams from the upper division will be relegated to the lower division, the top two teams from the lower division will advance to the upper division and the bottom two teams from the lower division will be relegated at the end. tour.

Teams need attention

The three notable big names that will be on the first Tour of DPC 2022 are EG, QC and Undying, which should come as no surprise to those paying attention to the post-TI roster shuffle.

Immortality should be respected because they are the only top team in the region that has attended TI and is still intact. Their teamwork has been the deciding factor, but given the practice and a competitive field that needs to figure out how to connect, they could have an early advantage.

EG is trying something new, persuaded two-time TI Champion JerAx to retire and brought him in from Europe with Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko, a standout player for Virtus.pro last season. Both players swap roles and it will take time to adjust to EG’s new system, but the ceiling for this new roster is very high.

Final, QC swapped three players, keeping only Quinn and YawaR from its original composition. Bringing in European talent with KheZu and MiLAN, along with the inclusion of talented rising star from Singapore Remus “ponlo” Goh Zhi Xian is a pretty drastic turn to try and revive the team.
