No Way Home Writers discusses connection to Loki’s ending

Spider-Man: No Way Home screenwriters Chris McKenna and Erick Sommers discussed the film’s relationship to what will happen to the Multiverse.
In a recent interview, Spider-Man: There’s no way home Screenwriters Chris McKenna and Erick Sommers spoke with TheWrap about the development of the film and some of its impact on other Marvel projects.
Record breaking movie Spider-Man: There’s no way home, which deals heavily with complications of the Multiverse. In 2021, Marvel fans are used to the intricacies of the Multiverse due to Marvel’s Disney Plus series like WandaVision, Loki, and even What if…? As the series differ in their implications for the Multiverse, There is no way home shows that worse is yet to come.
WandaVision gave a very sophisticated introduction to the Multiverse and was only as fully registered as possible Multiverse after the end of Loki. McKenna and Somers don’t know about Loki’s direct relation of the Multiverse at the time they worked on the script for There is no way home but appreciate what the movie did to introduce the concept before the movie’s release. “We all felt this really helped,” says Sommers. “This is great, because it shows that there is a lot of trouble in the multiverse.” There is no way home build on problems Loki introduced the Multiverse, focusing on its consequences for things beyond the TVA bubble.
McKenna and Somers mentioned that initially, There is no way home means to follow the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. They admit that in the early stages of production, There is no way home suffered many changes that turned many of their plans upside down. “We originally wrote this post when Strange was going to be joining but it was after the events of Doctor Strange 2, and so where is he, where is his head, and that’s what we’ve been trying around,” McKenna said. “And now it sounds like ‘oh this really got him interested in pursuing the multiverse as a concept.'”
Starring Doctor Strange in There is no way home and the fact that Spiderman the movie was originally slated to take place after the witches sequel, his inclusion in There is no way home surprised some people. Somers and McKenna admit that for them, the decision to include Strange seemed like a no-brainer. “I think we’ve been looking at Doctor Strange quite early on, the strongest reason is probably if Peter finds some way to undo this mess, that seems like a reasonable person you would turn to. ,” Somers said. Aside from Strange, there are very few other people who possess the skill level that can help Peter in the quest with which he shares some form of bond.
Recent release intro for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness shows Doctor Strange approaching Wanda for help. There is also a witness of a villain What happens if… fans seem to have met. Now that no one remembers Peter Parker, the chances of him appearing in the sorcerer’s sequel are slim, although nothing is impossible in the MCU. With Wanda’s magic, she could most likely find some memory of the surfing hero.
