Swedish e-sports organization Ninjas in Pajamas (NIP) seems to be going through a bit of a roster shuffle after the 2021 Stockholm Major, as the organization is bolstering its CS:GO team for the next competitive season . Young Linus “LNZ” Holtäng has been competing with the main roster for the past six months. LNZ came from their academy roster, and can now be replaced by Patrick “Es3tag” Hansen, who is currently on the inactive roster of Complexity Gaming, according to a report by Dexerto.
If this report turns out to be true, the NIP will get its second Danish player after their marksman Nicolai “Device” Reedtz, as they head into 2022 with a new look.
NIP is said to be able to replace LNZ with es3tag
The Swedish organization seems to be gearing up for their next competitive season after 5NS-8NS finished at the PGL major Stockholm 2021, where they lost the quarterfinals to G2 Esports.
According to reports, the 25-year-old Danish driver, es3tag, could be on the radar to replace their academy roster, LNZ, who has been competing with the NIP main roster since June 2021.
During his 5 months with the team, LNZ has competed in many top tournaments such as IEM Summer 2021, IEM Cologne 2021, ESL pro League Season 14, IEM Fall 2021: Europe and even the Stockholm Major 2021. Even though it was only a temporary addition to the roster, LNZ managed to get themselves a player signature sticker, which is quite an achievement.
Replaceable player, es3tag, has jumped a lot since March 2020. Over the past 20 months, he has moved through different organizations between Europe and North America. The groups es3tag has participated in include – Heroic, FunPlus Phoenix, Astralis, Cloud9 and Complexity.
His longest stint lasted 9 months with Cloud9, where he was active for just 5 months, then he was forced to sit on the bench for the next 4 months. Somehow, es3tag has managed to get the attention of teams that want to sign him, and the next organization he plays for could be NIP.
It will be interesting to see if this change actually takes place. If the reports turn out to be true, a list of CS:GO NIPs may appear as follows:
Fredrik “REZ” Sterner
Nicholas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora
Hampus “Hampus” Poser [IGL]
Nicholas “Dev1ce” Reedtz
Patrick “Es3tag” Hansen
Björn “THREAT” Pers [Coach]
