Ninjas in Pajamas announced another big change to CS GO list today with the acquisition of Danish racer Patrick “es3tag” Hansen from Complexity. As such, the team has also revealed that Linus “LNZ” Holtäng will be returning to the Young Ninjas academy roster.

Es3tag joined the NiP team right from the quarterfinals at the PGL Stockholm Major, where they won against MOUZ, Astralis and Copenhagen Flames but lost to Na’Vi, Gambit and eventually G2. In it official announcement, NiP said they were quite satisfied with the Young Ninjas academy development program but admitted that they wanted to experience “a little more” before BLAST Fall Finals in Copenhagen. Enter es3tag.

His impressive performance caught the eye of Cloud9 and he was signed to a 3-year, $2.1 million contract as one of the basic components of “Colossus.” Even so, the Colossus eventually stumbled and fell apart, allowing Jason Lake and Complexity to dive in and take the es3tag in July 2021. But when that team couldn’t reach PGL Stockholm, Juggernaut also failed, with Unleash or branching complexity all its players.

NiP hopes that experience es3tag has been obtained from playing with different teams and the system will provide CS GO competitive squad in Copenhagen. The fall finals kick off on November 24, and both dev1ce and es3tag will once again face a familiar foe as NiP takes on Astralis in the first round. Es3tag will also have to face former Complexity teammates blaming F and k0nfig, who will be make their Astralis debut. | NiP adds es3tag to CS:GO roster, moves LNZ back to Young Ninjas academy team
