Nintendo will be adding the ultimate fighter tweaks in the final update of Super Smash Bros.

It seems all aspects of major development above Super Smash Bros. will stop in the coming days. Nintendo has confirmed the next update to the game will contain the ultimate fighter tweaks.

This basically means that after Version 13.0.1 is released globally for Supreme, there will be no significant changes made in any way to the game other than bug fixes and other updates that will ensure the game runs properly. It’s also likely that the changes will be minimal since the 13.0 update that added Sora to the game had a long list of tweaks last month.

Fighter tuning is the lifeblood of any fighting game, giving players of both casual and competitive levels something to look forward to when it comes to characters and how they play. or interact with certain aspects of the game. Once the balance update is over, that tends to lead to a slow stagnation of any competitive meta as players refine and optimize their play and tackle the “best way” definitive to approach the match.

However, the lack of support does not always lead to this dismal outcome, like Smash Melee has shown with constant iteration and meta changes more than 20 years after it was officially released or received an update.

Regardless of how this might affect the game in the long run, this seems like an odd time to announce what’s broken at the end of support for Supreme. Nintendo of America recently announced partnership with Panda Global that will see the first official competition Smash launching in North America next year. It will also have Melee combat.

It’s not clear exactly how much Nintendo will be involved in the new competitive circuit, or if tweaks can be added in other ways beyond the 13.0.1 update. We can expect more details when the patch actually rolls out at some point in the near future. We can even see it drop Ultimate’s third birthday, December 7. Nintendo will be adding the ultimate fighter tweaks in the final update of Super Smash Bros.
