Nintendo confirms Majora’s Mask as Switch Online’s February 2022 release

Nintendo of America revealed plans to release The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers next month.

Some fans review The Legend of Zelda: The Mask of Majora the best Zelda Game of all time. While not everyone is willing to go that far, it’s still a finely crafted game that deserves it. Its excellent rating 95% on Metacritic. Critics and players praised the game’s excellent gameplay and great emotional storytelling.

It may not be possible to avoid it The Legend of Zelda: The Mask of Majora sooner or later come to Nintendo Switch. That event is about to become a reality, as Nintendo has just announced that they will bring Majora’s mask to Nintendo Switch Online in February.

Nintendo of America broke the news in a tweet on Thursday night. Majora’s mask coming next month for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers, according to the tweet. Unfortunately, the tweet doesn’t specify a specific time or date, though that’s still great news for fans of the legendary game. Hopefully Nintendo will update with more information as fans get closer to the release.

For those who have not experienced the legendary game, Majora’s mask be a favorite 2000 follower 1998 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It is one of the few direct sequels to the franchise, taking place several months after the previous game. After saving Hyrule from Ganon’s plot, Link finds himself transported to the parallel world of Termina. He only has three days to save Termina from a falling moon. Luckily, Link has the previous game’s Ocarina of Time, which allows him to reverse time back to the day he arrived.

Fan favorite game repeat word mechanism Ocarina of Time, such as dungeon puzzles and ocarina songs. It also introduces a substantial new mechanic that has the Link ability to change shape by wearing a magical mask. The aforementioned 3-day loop also makes things shaky as it forces players to split their time or risk losing significant progress. The various characters are also only available to interact with during certain times, with NPCs following a fixed schedule. This requires players to plan accordingly to get the job done before the game forces them back to day one.

Players who want to play Majora’s mask on Switch requires registration Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Regular Online subscribers will need to upgrade their membership for an additional fee. New subscribers can sign up for a one-year Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack for $49.99. That can be a bit expensive if users just want to grab an admittedly great 22 year old game. However, the arrival of the Majora Mask is clearly great news for current Expansion pack members.

The Legend of Zelda: The Mask of Majora now available on 3DS, GameCube, N64 and Wii U, and releases for Nintendo Switch Online in February 2022.
