Nicki Minaj continues to attract attention this week! New York rapper just got kicked out of a lawsuit alleging that she harassed and threatened her husband’s sexual assault victim, Jennifer Hough. Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty was convicted in 1995 for the rape of Hough. In the harassment lawsuit, Hough alleges that Nicki Minaj and her husband tried to force her to deny the rape charges against Petty.

On Wednesday (January 12), Jennifer Hough’s attorneys filed a voluntary dismissal without giving a specific reason. The dismissal is only related to Nicki Minaj, while the Kenneth Petty lawsuit is still ongoing. Jennifer’s attorney, Tyrone A. Blackburn told us that,
“The lawsuit was voluntarily dismissed against Nicki of NY. The lawsuit against Kenneth is ongoing. For anything else involving Nicki, stay tuned! ”

After being fired, Nicki Minaj’s lawyer, Judd Burstein, allegedly sent an email to Hough’s attorneys, bringing the case to a halt. According to the report, Burnstein wrote,
“As I told you during one of our virtual meetups, Nicki will never pay a dime to your client. I’m right. In the end, you were forced to surrender without you or your client getting a dime.”
He continued by saying legal proceedings
“Clearly wasted my time and hers [Minaj] money in the past three months. In my view, your conduct in pursuing this case against Nicki represents the worst of our legal system: parasitic lawyers who pursue frivolous actions against against a celebrity with the assumption that they will be rewarded if they throw all sorts of dirty things. “
Burstein also said that he and Nicki Minaj will act against Jennifer Hough and her attorney, Blackburn, wrote the dismissal as
“Just the beginning of Nicki and my efforts to make you pay for your shameful behavior with both money and, if the Court recommends it, disciplinary sanctions. “
Nicki Minaj has yet to publicly comment on new developments related to the case.
