Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is getting free skins

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl confirmed that they will be releasing free alternate skins, starting with a reference SpongeBob hat.

The collaborative style is rare, but Nickelodeon’s decades of children’s cartoons have given it a chance to do something special. In an announcement made on Twitter, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl confirm that it is actively working on cosmetics DLC for fighting games. More specifically, alternate costumes for the game’s roster of unique Nickelodeon characters are currently in the works. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl also confirmed that this cosmetic DLC will be made available for free to those who already purchased the game, and that downloading the DLC to use it should be a simple matter.

Although it is implied that there will be many alternate skin DLCs being made available for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Over time, the team only shared a single skin view to begin with. That skin is for SpongeBob SquarePants, and it’s pretty basic. It’s SpongeBob that looks normal, only he’s wearing his patented “Soft Drink Hat”. The hat has the number 1 logo and can hold two drinks on either side. SpongeBob fans will recall the hat in the passage where Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob that the hat makes him look like a girl, only to SpongeBob replying, “Am I a pretty girl?”

This is the first official look at Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl‘NS alternative clothes, but this isn’t the first time attentive fans have heard about DLC. A mid-October leak revealed several upcoming skins, including SpongeBob’s Drinking Soda Hat skin.

The list of other leaked outfits includes Patrick in a cowboy hat, Sandy in a sweatshirt and headband, Aang in a headwear, Lincoln Loud in a beanie, Lucy Loud in sunglasses, and Ren and Stimpy in a grandpa hat. Santa Claus, Zim in disguise, Catdog in a party hat, Nigel Thornberry in a safari hat, Ninja Turtles in black and white, April in a green jumpsuit, Toastman powder in a speedo, Reptar in purple, Helga in red and Danny Phantom in reverse colors.

All that has been leaked dress for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl are referenced to episodes or merchandise from their respective cartoons. Notably, none of them are major changes to the base skin, which is an interesting decision, and presumably more elaborate skins are being made for premium DLC. Regardless, fans can expect to hear official word on when these skins will be released in the coming weeks.
