New York City’s Real Housewives Luann de Lesseps Star Apologizes For Drunk Piano Bar Debacle

Luann de Lesseps, longtime star of The real housewives of New York reality show, apologized on Saturday for an alleged drunken incident that led to her being ousted from a gay piano bar in Manhattan.

“This week, after an unfortunate incident, I have to face the truth,” she began in a statement posted on her Instagram account. “I would like to apologize to the staff at Townhouse [Bar] and anyone else I may have offended by my conduct. Apparently my struggles with alcohol are real! ”

De Lesepps went on to note that she is in recovery from alcohol abuse, and that although she has made “big strides” over the years, “it’s been one day at a time.”

She said she was taking steps to “make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

According to Page Six, the 56-year-old de Lesseps arrived at the Townhouse on Wednesday with Broadway’s Kinky Boots producer Jim Kierstead. Inside the venue, she grabbed a microphone and started singing, then refused to leave her spot.

Eventually, the store said, the crowd started booing her. The old countess responded by declaring “F*ck you.”

With the screen off, de Lesseps has emerged as a variety star. She has 14 shows lined up next month at the popular Feinstein’s/54 Below venue.

But the crowd at the Townhouse wasn’t there to see her. “She grabbed the mic and simply wouldn’t stop,” a source told Page Six. “Luann thinks she’s doing her thing. She tried to sing [her own song] ‘Money can’t buy your level‘but they don’t know it. “

The publication noted that de Lesseps countered that she had been kicked out of the house.

This week is not her first public incident involving alcohol. In 2018, she was arrested after allegedly kicking a police officer in Palm Beach, Florida. She pleaded guilty to misdemeanor trespass, battery and disorderly conduct as part of a plea agreement and received 50 hours of community service, among other requirements.

It was a year of housewives controversy (of course point). In January, Bravo fired an actor from the ‘Salt Lake City franchise’ for social media posts that were criticized as racist.

De Lesseps’ Colleague The real housewives of New York Ramona Singer star has also faced scrutiny for her long history of controversial comments, but she’s still part of the cast. New York City’s Real Housewives Luann de Lesseps Star Apologizes For Drunk Piano Bar Debacle
