New world update removes elemental, returns lost gears and preconditions for server merge

New world update 1.1.1

One of these days I’ll be writing a post on New World that talks about some of the cool new features being added to the game rather than the constant parade of posts about updates fixing things. broken when they fix things – or somehow manage to be the complete opposite of what they intended when developing a feature, or in terms of how things will stop working for a while until they can fix everything. It’s a dream anyway. As it is, this is a “fix things” post. New World of Update 1.1.1 resolved some issues, some related to collecting and crafting and some related to accidentally deleted devices, among others.

The two big changes in this update involve elemental enemies and Garden equipment. On the elemental side, the developers fixed an issue where enemies dropped too many souls – by removing animals as rewards obtained while collecting elemental creatures. This is to take into account the number of motes already available in the world. At the same time, they also reduced the amount of other resources obtained from elemental creatures for the same reason.

As for garden equipment, the developers resolved a bug that accidentally removed player-acquired equipment (because the system mistook it for future content) by giving away to those who lost their equipment. they in the system a reward chest containing Horticulturist armor equivalent to the highest tier the player has previously attained.

The update also resolves a crafting bug where Gem crafting recipes did not yield enough XP for trading skills. On the other hand, those of you who might enjoy crafting lower tier items for XP will probably be a bit sad that the amount of XP granted for this has been reduced. It makes sense. You should create higher level stuff when you can.

The good news is that the housing functions related to buying, selling, moving and utilizing housing-related items have been reactivated. The other good news, it is likely that, depending on your point of view and what server you are likely using, is that the technical basis has been laid for server consolidation. War performance has also received some improvements. Unfortunately, the patch notes don’t specify what yet.
