New wildfire causes evacuations northwest of Redmond

The Grandview Fireplace was final estimated to be 300 acres

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Crews responded to a brand new wildfire burning in Central Oregon Sunday. 

Based on Central Oregon Fireplace Data, the Grandview Fireplace was estimated to be 300 acres as of 5:30 p.m. and is burning within the Crooked River Nationwide Grassland and personal land, southwest of Culver and northwest of Redmond. 

Further engines, crews, bulldozers, and plane have been responding to the scene Sunday night. 

Evacuation notices present as of 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021:

Based on the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Workplace, properties alongside Geneva Highway and Tye Flat are below a Degree 3 “Go Now” evacuation order. Deputies have already contacted residents. 

Areas east of Indian Fork Highway and south of the Deschutes County/Jefferson County Border are below a Degree 2 “Get Set” evacuation discover. This contains the Wychus Creek/Camp Polk space.

A Degree 1 “Get Prepared” evacuation discover is in impact for the southern portion of Witt Highway, Pacific Court docket, Fox Ridge Circle, Pine Ridge Highway, Honest Mile Highway, Suntree Lane, Wren Lane, Lynwood Lane, Stardust Lane, Hinkle Butte Drive, Canyon Crest Drive, Vista Ridge Drive, Annies Drive, Buffalo Drive and all roads that come off Buffalo Drive, and the southern a part of Mountain View Highway.
