New Ubisoft Tom Clancy Game Is FPS, Not Splinter Cell

A new Ubisoft Tom Clancy game will be revealed later today and the main hope from fans around the world is that it will be announced about a Splinter Cell game. However, it looks like there won’t be a Splinter Cell being revealed today, as the new Tom Clancy game is a multiplayer-only FPS that could be a spin-off of the series. 2nd Division. Called Tom Clancy’s BattleCat, Ubisoft’s new FPS game has a few gameplay footage released ahead of its big screening later today.

New Tom Clancy Game Could Be Rumored BattleCat

Last month, image of a new FPS called BattleCat comes from a leaked Ubisoft, which is said to be a mix of games like 2nd Division, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and yes, Splinter Cell. While Ubisoft hasn’t stated that today’s new game is BattleCat, it’s definitely an FPS, thanks to the clips it’s sent to numerous outlets and influencers around the world.

The clips all run on PC with keyboard/mouse prompts and seem to show multiplayer matches – one defending some sort of payload, another trying to take over areas. A lot of the enemies look more like AI opponents than other players, so there will probably be both PvE and PvP options.

One of the coolest clips showing the full cloaking ability available, aligns with BattleCat’s report that stealth will be a skill players can invest in.

The reveal itself will come at 11:00 PT / 19:00 BST / 20:00 CEST today, can be checked on YouTube, so be sure to tune back later to find out.

Ubisoft has been wise to invest in Tom Clancy’s successful universe, with The Division 2 proves one of gaming’s greatest games and Rainbow Six Siege recently received a PS5/Xbox Series X. However, the much-sought new Splinter Cell continues to prove too sneaky, though is there hope another Sam Fisher appearance will happen after the upcoming Netflix series. | New Ubisoft Tom Clancy Game Is FPS, Not Splinter Cell
