New Trailer for ‘Bridgerton’ Part 2 Drools Over New Lead Hunk Jonathan Bailey

Bridgerton Season 2 probably down one Page Regé-Jeanbut with the addition of the Newton corgi, all is forgiven. Romance in the whirlwind of Netflix is gearing up for its highly anticipated second season, releasing the first trailer teasing Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey)’s quest for love. And if you thought the first season was hot, wait until Season 2 — the trailer wastes no time undressing Anthony.

“They say competition is our chance to get ahead of our biggest challenges,” says Gossip Girl, aka Lady Whistledown, in the trailer. “I can’t be the only one wondering if the former capital Rake is ready for growth.” (Should we believe that sweet Penelope is behind this brutal roast?)

An intriguing love triangle ignited in Bridgerton Season 2, as Anthony (or rather, his nagging mother) finally decided it was time to settle down. When he starts rowing with the belly of the ball Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran), his sister Kate (Simone Ashley) is not attracted to his charms. Anthony should understand, right? That was his position with Daphne last season. Alas, he learned nothing! Perhaps for the better, though, as he and Kate embark on a hostile plot as thrilling as it promises as promising as Season 1’s fake romance.

The Shondaland series hasn’t forgotten about its many supporting characters either: fans of the quick-witted Eloise will delight in a quick scene of her newfound love affair, and sparks flying between Colin/Penelope once again. Even Daphne returned – at the behest of many, without the Duke of Hastings – to give her brother some sage advice on love. And who could forget the scene where Queen Charlotte’s emblem was stolen?

Along with Bailey, Ashley and Chandran, Season 2 will star Adjoa Andoh, Lorraine Ashbourne, Harriet Cains, Bessie Carter, Shelley Conn, Nicola Coughlan, Phoebe Dynevor, Ruth Gemmell, Florence Hunt, Martins Imhangbe, Claudia Jessie, Calam Lynch, Luke Newton, Golda Rosheuvel, Luke Thompson, Will Tilston, Polly Walker and Rupert Young.

Bridgerton Season 2 will be based on Julia Quinn’s second novel in the original series, Viscount fell in love with me. Under Shondaland’s deal with Netflix — recently released Invented Anna—Shonda Rhimes will executive produce with Betsy Beers, Tom Verica and Chris Van Dusen. Van Dusen returns as the creator and host of Season 2.

Noisy Bridgerton Season 2 when all episodes hit Netflix on March 25.
