New Spy × Family Anime Video Reveals Cast, Premier April 2022
Takuya Eguchi, Saori Hayami and Atsumi Tanezaki will star in the upcoming film.
A new promotional video for the upcoming SpyxFamily anime adaptation was released in recent Jump Festa events. The video revealed the main cast of the series along with its April 2022 premiere.
The series will air in two separate seasons, with the first part running in Spring 2022 and the second half slated to premiere at a later date.
Takuya Eguchi will play Loid Forger with Saori Hayami and Atsumi Tanezaki will play Yor and Anya Forger respectively. Eguchi is known for his role as Hachiman Hikigaya in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFUand Takeo Gouda in My love story!!. Hayami voices Yukino Yukinoshita in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, and Shinobu Kochou in Demon Slayer, while Tanezaki is best known for playing Rascal doesn’t dream about Bunny Girl Senpai’s Rio Futaba and The Bride of Ancient Magus Chise Hatori.
Both Wit Studio and CloverWorks will produce the anime. Formerly best known for the first three seasons of the very popular series Attack the giant anime, while the second most recent worked Horiyama, Magic Egg Priority, and Ball House.
Veteran director Kazuhiro Furuhashi will lead the seriesand the music will be performed by the band [K]NoW_NAME. Furuhashi has been in the industry since 1981, and has worked on classic series such as Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma , and more. He is famous as a director in 1999 HunterxHunter anime and the years 2019 Dororo.
[K]NoW_NAME did some anime projects, did the music and the theme songs for Dorohedoro, Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions, Sakura Quest, and Fairy Gone.
Tatsuya Endo SpyxFamily manga is serialized in Shueisha .’s Shōnen Jump + Magazine, under the Jump Comics+ imprint. The series started running in 2019 and has collected 8 volumes so far.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English, and Crunchyroll will stream series when it aired.
