Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch Will Confront Benedict Cumberbatch In Upcoming Movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, although beyond mere speculation that this level of involvement would parallel the supporting role of There is no way home, Marvel is keeping a close eye on the details of the plot.

Wanda Maximoff has been through a rough patch during her MCU tenure. First, she lost her brother Pietro in Vengeance Squad: Age of Ultron, then became the vessel of conflict between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Captain America: Civil War. And just as she’s recovering from a history of trauma with Vision’s help, Thanos arrives and kills him in cold blood during the events of… Avengers: Infinity War, begins a downward spiral that ends with Scarlet Witch trapping a town full of people WandaVision.

If the ultimate purpose of the MCU is to establish Wanda as a villain in future stories, they’re doing an incredibly hard job toward that epic breakdown.

For now, though, she’ll almost certainly help Doctor Strange with whatever he’s doing in the upcoming sequel, and Marvel has decided to give you another look at the female superhero by how to share an official promotional piece depicting Scarlet Witch in her new outfit. See it for yourself below.

It’s been said in the past that this new, real-life comic book outfit is absolutely stunning to see, though I’m not so sure about this promotional art. It seems a bit complicated if at all, but perhaps Marvel is aiming for something more unique than typical superhero designs.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit theaters on May 6, 2022.
