New Orleans trash: City hasn’t picked up some residents’ garbage for weeks after Hurricane Ida

The rubbish pickup disaster comes as New Orleans remains to be feeling the results of Ida, its worst storm since Hurricane Katrina. The town estimated Monday that it had 200,000 cubic yards, or 54,000 tons, of particles to clear from the hurricane.
