New Lead Producer Hire Initiative for Perfect Reboot in Dark Dark
Microsoft is hiring a lead producer to join its Xbox Game Studio team, The Initiative, who are currently developing a Perfect Dark sequel.
Initiative has been pretty quiet since the big reveal about Perfect darkness almost a year ago, but that doesn’t mean the company hasn’t made any moves. It seems Initiative are hiring a lead producer to join their team and help bring Perfect darkness to the destination.
Prior to Perfect darknessRevealed at The Game Awards 2020, the initiative has caused waves in the industry due to the team it is assembling. Even though Perfect darkness As The Initiative’s first game, the developers working on it are some of the best in the industry, many of them from several PlayStation first-party studios. From the former Santa Monica Studio and Naughty Dog developers, to the wider Bungie and Crystal Dynamics employees, The Initiative has assembled an outstanding list of previous development talent. A new lead producer list at The Initiative has surfaced, giving clues as to where Perfect darkness is being developed. The responsibilities and qualifications of this position describe a versatile lead producer with experience in game development. “Qualified candidates need to be highly organized with strong communication skills to successfully manage creative teams and ensure timely delivery of high-quality content,” the Initiative states, emphasizes some of the responsibilities of the position and its temporal nature. Those who want to apply must have worked for at least 8 years as a producer in game development, with “outsourcing and asset management experience.” Former Tenants of the Initiative largely on the game development side, but the position seems to be a bit of both the development and business side of the industry.
It’s been a year since the last time fans saw it Perfect darkness, it’s hard to say where the game is actually in development. In The Game Awards 2020 trailer, The Initiative provided a first look at Perfect darknesstone, art style and premise, but nothing to show for gameplay wise, which in most cases means the game is still pretty far off. However, considering the game was in a playable state before it was revealed, perhaps Perfect darkness much closer than expected. Either way, whoever takes the lead producer position at Initiative will play an important role in making that game a reality.
