New Horizons Player builds incredible D&D-inspired pub
One Animal Crossing: New Horizons player shared a video of her building a Dungeon and Dragons-style pub for a villager.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons received both the final free update, Update 2.0, and the Happy Home Paradise DLC. These expansions added many new options for customization and home decoration to the game, and some players took full advantage of this. TikTokker AshleyRoboto was inspired to create her own pub with a line from Vic, a cranky bull Villagers can meet in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Vic asks for a home base for “various adventures” and the player decides to enjoy him. Since Vic’s outfit, name, and whereabouts are all inspired by famously belligerent and adventurous Vikings, it looks like he was inspired by a Dungeons and Dragons-style building.
AshleyRoboto started by choosing the theme she wanted and placing the building in the perfect spot – in the middle of the woods. She created the exterior with a certain gothic atmosphere and used Mule‘s outdoor customization options It is surrounded by signposts, stone paths and even a small cave to capture the right atmosphere. Inside, she covered the wooden floor and added some crates, columns, wooden tables and chairs for potential customers. She also added some Benches for a particularly rustic feel.
The player went on to create a custom design for the bottle labels modeled after an eye before she placed the bottle on multiple surfaces, accompanied by candles to add to the pub-like atmosphere. One of the final touches is the dark wooden music box to provide haunting yet catchy soundtrack. At the end of the video, there are some shots of Vic in his new house. The armor-clad bull is well-suited to his new home, which makes his old-fashioned style look exactly like home. The bottles and candlelight give the pub a very lively and cozy look, especially when Vic is behind the bar, ready to order. The tavern is a classic element of medieval fantasy and can be inserted into any imaginary setting, seemingly including the kid-friendly world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
