It seems that the same level of detail is important to Nintendo when it comes to design Happy Home Paradise DLC because the Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The expansion sees players decorate their favorite Villagers’ Inn, with buildings like hospitals and schools also being finalized as players make some progress in the expansion. Just like players do with their own homes, they’ll place items throughout each room, customizing the Villager’s living space until they’re completely satisfied. However, a particular item type has a unique ability.

Pointed out by Reddit users and Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan Upstairs pit, the game’s large fossils will have a major impact on the ceiling of a building if they are placed down. While it would make sense for fossils to go through the ceiling or not be able to be placed indoors, Nintendo thinks it’s better to have them go through the ceiling like what would happen in real life. Thus, all that can be seen, the giant neck of the dinosaur, with the skull of the extinct creature creating a hole in the roof.

The hole looks completely natural, as wood chips are thrown out from the point of impact. No wonder this detail is shocking Animal Crossing: New Horizons players, with the post bringing in over 25,000 upvotes in the past few days. For those interested in copying designs, they will have to complete a few dozen Motel before fossils. Even if players aren’t interested in creating fossil-filled houses, everyone can appreciate this attention to detail. While players wonder if other items will make a similar hole, many will likely start placing some large items inside their Villager getaway destinations.

With gamers needing a handheld camera to spot vulnerabilities, it’s no surprise that it took them a while to figure out. While not sure where NS Mule series will continue, expecting its items to remain complex and unique.
