Crafting is an important aspect of this customization, as recipes can be discovered to create various pieces of furniture and more using materials like stones and branches.

Cooking is just an addition to the game with Version 2.0 and Happy Home Paradise, with the DLC offering some exclusive techniques such as building walls and polishing items. Make cooking one of the universal additions with New horizons‘The free update is a smart move as it provides more of a purpose for the activities that have been in the game since the beginning – namely fishing and fruiting. However, it also makes sense for sweeter, more sugary treats to offer benefits like faster running speed for a given time. Large savory meals can also make the player more efficient in certain tasks like chopping down trees in one go. There are so many relevant quality of life benefits that meals can unfold, from Dive longer in the ocean to build friendships faster. For now, though, it’s a really basic operation on a mechanic with a lot of gaming potential.
