Animal Crossing: New Horizons Players in the Northern Hemisphere are eagerly enjoying the game’s winter wonderland. With the changing seasons, there are opportunities to do things like build perfect snowmen, but there also seems to be some rare danger.

A player finds himself in an unusual situation while they put down their controller. While many may have seen New horizons bug occasionally moving snow gathered around, in this particular situation the player finds himself receiving a snowball surprise attack.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Players who have owned the game since its inception may already be familiar with the game’s dung beetle. Appearing only for a few months in winter, bugs known for their rolling skills will occasionally create a snowball, shoving it around. This skill was put to the test in specific encounters.

Redditor AJayySim took a moment between their island town landscape to take a sip of a drink in real life. The video they shared takes place in this brief moment of idleness. Their player can be seen standing at the base of the cliff as a giant snowball above begins rolling around. The bug behind it appeared shortly afterwards, and after a short push the ball fell off the cliff, landing on the player’s head and apparently forcing them to take a partial step back as the snowball split. The dung beetle then quickly flies away.

AJayySim seemed quite amused by the encounter, as the poster and commenter joked about the dung beetle trying to kill people through the snowball. Thankfully, as some have pointed out, the player is in construction mode and therefore wearing a construction helmet. Others take the opportunity to complain about dung beetles antics during winter in general, like those trying to perfect snowmen Sometimes their efforts are ruined by a dung beetle that randomly moves one of their snowballs around and changes its size.

Although the game is approaching its second birthday, Animal Crossing: New Horizons continue to bring entertaining and exciting moments like this to fans. Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘recent content updates helped breathe new life into the game, but rare moments like these are part of what keeps fans playing. Bed bugs can be rare, valuable, and even dangerous, but getting crushed by a dung beetle under a small snowy mountain could be something players won’t soon forget.
