New Anime Based on ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ has moved to Netflix

Like most cult favorites, scott traveler vs world It flopped when it debuted in 2010. It’s part video game, part comic and expertly captures the emotions of youth and love at the time. It subverts genres and expectations.

Based on a graphic novel, it follows the adventures of then-white actor Michael Cera as Scott, who is trying to make a big splash with his garage band Sex Bob- Omb while battling his new girlfriend’s ex, including Jason Schwartzman as Gideon Gordon The Graves.

Now we get news that the beloved property will be getting the anime treatment. Based on The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix and UCP are developing the series. UCP is a division of Universal Studio Group that has brought Oh Academy and Chucky to life.

Creator Bryan Lee O’Malley is teaming up with BenDavid Grabinski on the show. Grabinski is responsible for Are you afraid of the Dark? revived at Nickelodeon. Anime company Science SARU will handle the animation if the show continues.

The graphic novels were a popular phenomenon and lasted from 2004 to 2010. They sold millions of copies and paved the way for a movie adaptation by Edgar Wright.

The film also stars many future stars, including Aubrey Plaza, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brandon Routh, and Brie Larson. Although it was not successful at the box office, it has become a beloved property over the years.

Since so much Japanese animation influences graphic novels, it makes sense to build an anime ethos.

The anime news comes with another tidbit: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World will return to cinemas to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Movies have been “reimagined” for the silver screen with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

You want people to see it as best as possible. I suspect that if you’re a fan of the movie, you’ll get a hit when you watch it like this. ”

Along with the movie news, Wright announced that there’s also a 4K Ultra HD Blu Ray on the way.
