Nets vs. Knicks, results: Kevin Durant, James Harden combined for 61; Thibs, Randle called the officials

It feels like there’s a negative shade around brooklyn network. Are not Kyrie Irving. James Harden have not been myself. Blake Griffin outside the rotation. Joe Harris, ankle surgery, will rest for the next two months. Kevin Durant doing too much. Meanwhile, the Nets have won 13 of their last 16 matches, the last one before Knicks in the horror movie 112-110 Tuesday night.
For Brooklyn, the first half belonged to Harden, who scored 28 points in the first 24 minutes while Durant added just six. Then Harden, who finished with 34, was kept to six points in the second half as Durant took over with 21 of his 27 points.
Combined, Durant and Harden combined for 61 points, 17 assists and 15 rebounds. That will work.
In terms of decisive ownership of the game, the Knicks sent two defenders to Durant nearly halfway down the field, leaving James Johnson at the weak point to attack downhill. It was a win for the Knicks, who were Mitchell Robinson Deep coating protection. The point is, instead of going straight to contesting Johnson, which almost certainly wouldn’t have been whistled, Robinson was swiping down Johnson’s arm to be fouled. Johnson’s two free throws won it for Brooklyn.
It’s unfortunate because Tom Thibodeau drew a great play on previous ownership to get Evan Fournier 3 pointers in the game. That has energy in the building through the roof, as Knicks fans have taken over the Barclays Center.
It’s always a disappointment to see such a complicated game end in free throws, but it was consistent enough. Brooklyn has 25 times. The Knicks only made 12 free throws. Thibodeau was not satisfied with the difference.
Randle, who was hit with a disabled technical foul towards the end of the fourth round for losing his temper with officials, claimed he was told that the reason for the contact he was absorbing was not called it. does not affect him due to his superior strength, which if true is ridiculous.
Again, I don’t take Randle’s word on this. Unbelievable NBA the official will say something very incriminating. That said, unfortunately, size and power do affect how the whistle blows. Ask Shaquille O’Neal, who has been fouled twice as much as he has actually been rewarded for what obvious contact with someone else registered on Shaq would be like a flea landing on your foot.
For the Knicks, this is their first game since Kemba Walker has been completely removed from the rotation. Alec Burks, who replaced Walker in the starting line-up, finished with the team’s top 25, but he was deducted 11 points in 39 minutes. Julius Randle added 24, but subtracted -8 to the game. Four of New York’s five starting points are a minus-32 combo.

That aligns with the season-long trend of the Knicks’ bench being dug out of early holes. Derrick Rose, Immanuel Quickley and Obi Toppin that adds up to 36 points and is a total of 24 for the game.
With the win, the Nets improved to 15-6 and remained on top at the Eastern Conference. The Knicks fall on 11-10.
