Riot Games’ League of Legends-Inspiring animated series Arcane has set records on Netflix since the release of the first movie. After act two, the show topped the streaming platform’s Most Viewed category for over 50 countries, and the climactic finale saw the show hold onto its spot at the top of the platform.
Arcane is the most watched Netflix show in the world, beating out other international sensations like Hell is bound, Cowboy Bebop, and Squid fishing game, according to the statistics website Flixpatrol. As of November 21, Arcane still the most watched show in 34 countries and ranked in the top 10 in nearly 90 countries in which it broadcasts.
Riot Games’ first fully animated series has also received critical acclaim along with rave reviews from fans. Arcane has a perfect 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and heralds an impressive 9.4 on IMDB.
The sudden success and rise of Arcane has secured the production of the second part. Riot Games CEO Nicolo Laurent announced that production has begun Arcane just two hours after the release of the final part. While fans can expect a sequel to the series, Laurent has informed fans that the series won’t launch in 2022.
Arcane is one of the biggest and most successful projects of Riot Games in the past year, bringing wave of new players to its already existing titles. Riot Games has created one of the few great and well-received video game adaptations and is currently looking to further develop its story.
