Netflix Series to Document All-Civilian Space Mission – The Hollywood Reporter

Netflix is headed into house.

The streamer and the crew behind The Final Dance are becoming a member of to doc the primary all-civilian mission to orbit the Earth. The five-part sequence, titled Countdown: Inspiration4 Mission to Area, is slated to premiere in September and can air simply earlier than and after the scheduled mission.

Netflix may also air a StoryBots particular for youths that includes the 4 crew members answering questions from youngsters about house journey and their preparation for the flight.

Inspiration4 is the brainchild of Jared Isaacman, the CEO of fee processing firm Shift4 Funds. A StoryBots Area Journey is about for Sept. 14, the day earlier than the mission launches. A feature-length finale, that includes footage from the the journey, is slate for late September.

The Final Dance helmer Jason Hehir will direct and govt produce Countdown, which comes from Time Studios, Recognized and Phrases & Photos. The opposite govt producers are Final Dance EPs and former ESPN executives Connor Schell and Libby Geist, together with Aaron Cohen for Phrases & Photos; Ian Orefice, Alexa Conway and Rebecca Gitlitz for Time Studios; and Ross Martin, Brad Roth and Mark Feldstein for Recognized.
