‘Neon’ is coming to Valorant on January 12, 2022

Riot Games has revealed ‘Neon’ as Valorant’s newest agent who will be joining the game next week. The publisher has released a new movie that gives fans a glimpse of the new toolkit, but it hasn’t revealed any specifics yet. Looks like Agent 18 will be able to take advantage of past enemies and take them down with an electric ability. As we get closer to Neon’s release, Riot Games will likely release a detailed look at her kit in the next few days.

The new trailer shows Neon in her room fidgeting and toying with her abilities. She has some form of ability to discharge electricity from her fingers and knock out enemies. It’s unclear how lethal her abilities really are as Riot Games likes to exaggerate the level of power of the agents in their trailers.

Other abilities introduced in the trailer include an electric orb that bounces off walls and deals area-of-effect (AOE) damage. Neon also has the ability to create two walls capable of providing the ability to obscure vision from both sides.

The new agent will have Episode 4 this month, and we should also take a look at her kit in detail before it’s released. The representative information was soon leaked through the Prime Gaming website and it immediately caused a lot of hype among fans. Neon will be the first dealer of 2022 and she will also become the first Philippine dealer of Valorant.

In addition to Neon, we can also expect a brand new battle, skins, limited time mode and other new content to be added to Valorant. Episode 4 also marks the start of the Valorant Champions Tour with teams gearing up for the second iteration of the global e-sports event.

Neon release date

Neon is scheduled to release on January 12, 2022. The current Episode 3 Episode 3 will end on January 12, and Episode 4 will begin on the same day.
