NBC’s Michele Tafoya Completed NFL Sideline Report After This Year

NBC Sports reporter Michele Tafoya will not be returning to the NFL sideline after this season, based on The New York Post.
56-year-old side reporter for NBC’s prime time Sunday night football broadcasts have decided to drop out after this year is over, sources told Post. Tafoya has missed the last three games, which NBC has described as “goodbye week”, but is expected to return to the field this coming Sunday.
NBC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Speculation has surfaced in recent days that Tafoya’s notable absence from NFL sideline activities is related to her title time as a token conservative presenter for See last month. In a wit segment on a popular daytime talk show, Tafoya taunted the audience to “go on” after they lamented her criticism of former NFL star Colin Kaepernick.
Tafoya, however, will reappear on the sidelines right after her view appeared, operating for the rest of November before finally taking off after Thanksgiving.
Meanwhile, the past three games she’s missed are in Seattle, Baltimore and Green Bay – all cities with historically bad or cold weather during this time of year. She is also expected to miss the game on January 2, which will also be in Green Bay.
While no replacement for Tafoya has been officially announced, the most likely candidate would be Kathryn Tappen, who has replaced Tafoya in the past three weeks.
Tafoya’s departure is not the only major change that is likely to happen Sunday night football Broadcast. Al Michaels, game caller with analyst Cris Collinsworth, cyou should go to Thursday Night Football when Amazon takes over the half-week game next season. If he jumps ship, Mike Tirico is expected to replace him on Sunday.
