Who is Naomi Judd?

Naomi Judd is an American singer and songwriter and is known for being one half of the mother-daughter country music duo Judds, with songs like Mama He’s Crazy, Love Can Build a Bridge and Why Not Me ?

The 76-year-old star was born in Kentucky and has two daughters, Wynonna, who completed the Grammy Award-winning duo Judd and Ashley.

The musical couple have announced their first tour in over a decade, The Final Tour, which will kick off in Michigan this September.

Naomi has starred in several films such as An Evergreen Christmas and Animal Attraction while producing TV documentaries about her daughters and her music.

What is the cause of death of Naomi Judd?

Naomi Judd “died of mental illness” on April 30.

The news was announced by Wynonna and Ashley Judd in a statement, a day before the country singer was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Appearing on Good Morning America, Ashley Judd confirmed the cause of death was suicide, and talked about her grief.

“My mother knew that she was seen and she was heard in grief. She was walking home,” she told host Diane Sawyer.

American actress and activist known for her roles in Double Jeopardy and Heat, and recently split from Scottish racer Dario Franchitti.

Ashley talks about her mother’s death and dealing with grief with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer.

“When we talk about mental illness, it is very important – to be clear and distinguish between our loved one and the illness,” she said.

“Mom was a star, and she was a psychopath, you know, and had a lot of trouble getting off the sofa, except for going into town every day to the Cheesecake Factory.

“Our mother couldn’t continue until she was inducted into the Hall of Fame by her peers. I mean, that’s the catastrophic extent of what’s going on inside of her. ”

Ashley added: “She has been very isolated in many ways because of this disease, yet so many people have come out for her over the years.”

Who went to the funeral?

A private service was held in memory of the Grammy-winning singer last Saturday (May 7, 2022) in Nashville.

Friends, family and fellow singer attended the ceremony with invitation only in memory of Naomi Judd.

Dolly Parton, Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs all paid their respects to half-sisters Ashley and Wynonna at the CMA Theatre.
