N0tail is taking a break from Dota 2, will continue to mentor OG’s new roster

N0tail takes a break from the competition Dota 2 and will help spearhead OG’s next iteration while creating content and doing other work both inside and outside of esports, according to an announcement from today.
This news comes to Ceb announced his retirement and Topson shared he will take his own long-term break to focus on family, to let n0tail be the only player left on the team’s legendary list of consecutive International champions.
Now, he’s also transitioning to the inactive roster to get a much-needed break after leading OG through 35 LAN tournaments, nine Majors, and five different TIs without any breaks. when the whole team decides to skip the event.
“Personally, I would like to take a break for at least a year and take a break, so I can say…,” n0tail speak. “For now, all I know is that I need to rest. I am very satisfied, very happy. I’m so lucky to be playing with the people I’ve played with for the past two years. I feel satisfied. But I need to rest.”
As OG CEO JMR Luna mentioned, n0tail has always been the heart of OG, dedicating himself and always supporting his teammates as a constant “life force” that helps the team bloom into a beautiful flower of a team. Figure. But in the last year, especially at TI10, you can almost see how exhausted he is.
N0tail, who never gave up time while OG was still playing, treats every day as if he were preparing for the top tournament. He slows down his pace occasionally, but n0tail still approaches the game with the same mentality even after his team became the first team to win two TIs, to do so in a row in 2018 and 2019.
Doing it for years and staying on top almost all of that time can benefit a team and individual members, which is evident in every single Ceb statement. , Topson and n0tail about leaving the team.
Now, n0tail will spend more time in areas like streaming and content creation. He will also stay with the newcomer of OG Dota roster at the team’s Lisbon Sunflower home in Portugal, where he will help mentor them as they transition to represent the organization.
“I think it is essential that veteran players work with new players and help them develop. After all, during all these years, we have learned a lot, “n0tail” speak. “About Dota, about being a good teammate, being a pro player. That knowledge needs to be shared. We don’t want the next version of OG to be a carbon copy of the current version. But we believe that if we can transfer what we know and let them add to this, the ceiling will be much higher and we can help them get there faster.”
Both n0tail and Ceb have lectured on this approach in the past, with the team’s previous development roster being the OG seed and even their approach to other eSports within OG.
With this announcement, OG has a completely empty vehicle for a Dota 2 just a day before DPC 2022’s roster lockup begins. That will change soon, as the team appears to have locked down its next roster and plans to give fans another update “VERY soon”.
Rumors over the past few weeks have pointed to Misha moving from his coaching role to the new roster, while Taiga will join him in the backline — two moves that seem pretty specific as Misha hasn’t yet. announced his departure from OG and Taiga bid farewell to Team Liquid yesterday.
