Originally released on October 22, 2021, My friend Peppa Pig launched as a cute sandbox game aimed at a young audience. On January 21, 2022, the game launches on next generation console with a free upgrade for existing PS4 and Xbox One owners, containing notable improvements over previous-generation versions.
The upgrades for each of the next-gen consoles come with quality and performance modes. On PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, performance mode allows the game to run at 60FPS at 1080p. Regarding quality settings, Xbox Series X and PS5 can run My friend Peppa Pig at native 4K, except for the Xbox Series S, because the console doesn’t have the graphics power to play games at that resolution. PS5 received support for DualSense controllers and the card works, while supported Xbox Series X and S continues rapidly. In addition, each next-gen console will see increased loading speeds. Unfortunately, none of the next-gen consoles can run My friend Peppa Pig at 60FPS in native 4K.
My friend Peppa Pig is an open world that allows players to create their own characters and explore around the world of the show on which the game is based. Not only do average players find the game enjoyable, but now next-gen players can take full advantage of the new hardware.
While Outright Games, the development studio behind My friend Peppa Pig, it looks like it’s done with providing support for the game, it’s not done yet. In fact, on the studio’s website, Outright Games announced that My friend Peppa Pig will receive a DLC update in March. While Outright Games hasn’t given a specific release date for the DLC, the studio has at least announced that players can expect new content in the near future.
Young players, regardless of background, can now like My friend Peppa Pig as much as the hardware allows, while fresh, new content is being released. Overall, this family-friendly game is a sizable package that offers gameplay that fans of the show and parents alike can enjoy, and now that bundle is even better.
