Morbius is reportedly going to reshoot scenes with Michael Keaton as Vulture, who first appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Morbius is another one Spiderman villains had their own spin-off from Sony. Now, the Live Vampire solo movie is said to be in the midst of a reboot involving Michael Keaton as Vulture, the villain that was introduced in Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Homecoming.
With Spider-Man: There’s no way home around the corner, fans can’t help but ask questions regarding the movie. The movie has been the target of leaks, theories, rumors, and more. One of the biggest questions is how Sony’s Spider-Man Universe will tie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is owned by Disney. Hitherto, Morbius trailers and post-credits scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage gave only teasings about the connection between both worlds.
In a recent interview, Keaton Confirms He’s Filming More Vultures for Marvel but never named the project. Since his character was introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming, many assumed that he was filming new scenes for Spider-Man: There’s no way home, but now it seems that’s not the case. Murphy’s Multiverse reports Keaton is shooting supplemental material for Morbius At this point, there are only 7 weeks left for the Sony movie to hit theaters. “While we don’t have details on whether Keaton is in the process of reshoots or additional photography, work is not yet complete as scenes featuring the characters will be filmed next week.” written report. This magazine shows that Keaton’s Vulture can have an important role in Morbius consider Sony has been filming scenes with the character over the past two weeks.
At the end of One Morbius intro video, Keaton’s Vulture has a brief appearance. Much later, Venom 2 was released and included a post-credits scene where Eddie Brock and the symbiote are transported to an alternate universe, one where Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is shown as Spider-Man on national television. Based on these two scenes, there seems to be some sort of plan to connect the Sony Spider-Man Universe and the Disney-owned Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Vampires have been mentioned in the MCU many times, including the post-credits scene of the eternal, when Mahershala Ali first voiced the role of Blade. So it’s clear that some people in the MCU already know of their existence, they just haven’t appeared yet. With Morbius slated to premiere in theaters next month, if Vampire Lives and Vultures are connected to the MCU, it will be another significant move for the franchise.
Morbius will hit theaters on January 28, 2022.
