Over the years, Mohamed Samu has had many highlights in his NFL career.
But what he might be remembered for as well as his catch as a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers is something that happened. out into the air several thousand meters.
It was April 2017. The NFL drew attention as a flashpoint of divisive anthem protests sparked by former 49ers defender Colin Kaepernick, and many fans turned their backs on the league.
Mohamed Sanu, later with the Falcons, caught the care of a family when he was on a commercial flight.
He tweeted about the episode, noting that as the passengers were getting off the train, a woman handed him a piece of paper with a request to read it later.
Yeah mom gave it to me and said read it later and walked away lol https://t.co/R7fbOqv138

He did, and so did the world when he shared it on Twitter.
“Hi! You don’t know us but we wanted to thank you. Our son sat behind you on this flight and watched you,” the note began.
The note reveals that everything Sanu does has been recorded by a very caring child.
“He sees you researching your plays, watching you make healthy choices with your snacks, food and drinks. He saw how polite you are to people,” the note said.
This definitely brings a smile to my face. ☺️ little things. pic.twitter.com/OFKpwcho5H

The letter tells Sanu there’s nothing more to it about his family than the boy stalks him 10 years old and that they are coming to Connecticut because the boy has formed an elite hockey team.
“You are an inspiration to children and for that you should be proud! Thanks and good luck!” the note said.
It was signed, “Family sat behind you :).”

The former Rutgers star continues to be a role model and dedication to his community.
He is currently participating with a project called “Sanu’s Crew” benefiting the Embrace Kids Foundation, which supports families of children with cancer and blood disorders.
Sanu also supports children in local autism centers around Atlanta, New Jersey, and New York City.
