VIDEO GAME OF THE DAY

According to a recent report from DSO Gaming, a group of developers calling themselves Codeless Studio is working on a remake of the first game. Silent Hill game, but made in Unreal Engine 5. While Silent Hill The series has a rich legend, filled with unsettling characters and a tangled history, it’s this opening scene that is iconic in the genre, introducing the world to the haunted land and its secrets. Sadly, the report goes on to say that this UE5 remake will not be made public. This means that fans won’t be able to play this modern twist with a bit of a classic. While no reason was given, it’s entirely possible that Codeless Studio didn’t want to find themselves in legal battles with Konami, so they chose to keep it as visual proof rather than a game that has playable.

The footage itself is impressive, especially for a very early build. It takes back those creepy vibes from the original, but with a makeover to bring it into this gaming era. However, it’s a pity that people won’t experience it beyond the video. With PT removed from the PlayStation Store in 2015, effectively ending any chance of a Silent Hill game from the mind of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro, the franchise that has died in the country.

All in all, it shows that there are some talented people out there who won’t let Silent Hill completely dead. With Unreal Engine 5 is one of the most popular game engine In the current climate, seeing a full remake of this beloved classic using this powerful tool would be a dream come true for many. Maybe one day the full release will come out. But at least Slitterhead is on the horizon.
