Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch From Mercury Anime Coming in October
The anime will be the first new Gundam series since the 2015 Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.
The Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury the anime will premiere in October, the anime’s official website announced on Saturday. The new anime will be the first new anime Gundam TV cartoons for seven years.
Witches from Mercury will air on MBS and TBS ‘Nichi-5 time slots. A promotional video celebrating the series previously aired around the time was released by MBS following the announcement.
No notice regarding the staff of the series, transmission or setup has been done. Last September, Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Gundam Director, Koji Fujiwara, teased that the series would be something that “even the younger generations will support”. This will be the first series since 2015 Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.
Season 25 first episode of Iron-blooded orphans aired during Fall 2015 and Winter 2016. One second 25-the next part of the episodeaired during Fall 2016 and Winter 2017. The series is animated by Sunrise, with Tatsuyuki Nagai (Anohana, A certain scientific pistol) director and Mari Okada (O maidens of your Savage season, Sakurasou’s pet girl) handle the series composition. Masaru Yokoyama (Fate / Apocrypha, Fruit basket) composed music for the series.
ONE live-action Gundam movie is said to take place in the Universal Century timeline currently being worked on, and is being produced by Netflix and Legendary Pictures. Some concept art showcasing a live-action version of the iconic RX-78-2 was revealed in November.
The most recent Gundam anime project, a trilogy based on Yoshiyuki Tomino’s Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash light novel, released in Japan on June 11, 2021 and available to stream on Netflix on July 1. Dawn is animation serieswith Shūkō Murase (Gangsta, Ergo Proxy) director and Yasuyuki Muto (Afro Samurai, Persona -trinity soul-) handle the series composition. The second entry in the trilogy, Bright sunno release window yet.
