Miyazaki doesn’t like reliving the old memories he had when he developed a demon’s soul

Hidetaka Miyazaki believes that Bluepoint Games has done a good job in remakes the soul of the devil, although the Japanese director had doubts about whether new fans would like his old system the soul of the devil or not. He say:

As you say, I’m not directly involved and I haven’t actually played the remake of Evil. But this is because I don’t like playing games that I did in the past.

It brings back a lot of old emotions, a lot of old memories, and this is a bit overwhelming, and not wanting to play anymore. So I haven’t played the Demon’s remake, but I’m happy to see it has this fresh look, this brand new current generation graphics.

It’s an old game, so seeing it remade this way and having new players play it obviously makes me happy.

It was a tough game of the day, with relatively difficult development, so I was worried that new players wouldn’t like it that way. That’s why I was nervous when it was re-released but in the end I was just happy to see the reaction and happy to see that people liked it.

It’s really fun to see [Bluepoint Games] offers things we didn’t consider and to approach certain elements of the game’s visuals and mechanics in a way that we couldn’t or didn’t before. So, to see them research and apply these new thought processes and new techniques, this is a really exciting and fascinating thing for me.
