Missing 5-year-old Frank Young found dead: Emergency Response Coordinator

Sources confirmed on Saturday that the body of 5-year-old Frank Young has been found.
Red Earth Cree Nation Emergency Coordinator Allistair Nawakayas has confirmed that the search for Young is over.

Details of the location where Young was found have not been released.
Global News has contacted the RCMP in Saskatchewan but has not yet received a response.
Young disappeared on April 19 near his home on the Red Earth Cree Nation, more than 200 kilometers east of Prince Albert, Sask.

Since then there has been an intensive search. Last update on 21.06Stthe search has covered approximately 92 square kilometers with 611 searchers.
At the time, Saskatchewan RCMP tactical support began “thorough, targeted searches” of riverbanks as water levels had receded since the last effort.
“Frank loved playing outside with the neighborhood kids,” said Frank’s grandmother, Teresa Whitecap. “He was creative. He was fun loving…Frank took pride in making things for his caregiver, Barb. He was so proud of the things he made for her.”
“The day Frank disappeared, everyone acted immediately,” Whitecap said. “We’ve become family since the first day Frank disappeared. My family is very strong… we come together as one.”
The Prince Albert Grand Council and local Children and Family Services provide mental health support to families.
