In a post on Reddit, a user called Ominous_Hippopotamus shared a collection of images from a megaproject they completed recently Minecraft. According to Reddit users, the building is built like a Mediterranean island. Therefore, they carefully edited the terrain to represent the semi-arid appearance of the site in real life. The land features steep cliffs with patches of grass and shrubs, while some trees can still grow among the rocks. In addition, many buildings are scattered across the site, all with a distinctive Mediterranean architectural flavor.

Besides the rugged yet stunning landscape, Ominous_Hippopotamus’ massive tectonic structure has several highlights, such as a statue on a large rock that connects to the main island. According to the creator, it was modeled after the goddess Athena. Furthermore, the construction includes a large sailboat just offshore. The design of the ship is amazing, with many sails and lanterns. While this intricately detailed model will be impressive in its own right, making it part of a large project is even more breathtaking.

In addition to showing the Mediterranean island in the Reddit post, Ominous_Hippopotamus provided some details behind the large-scale construction. According to the creator, they built the island in Creative and used SEUS refreshed shaders. However, they note that they want to go back and try to recreate it in hardcore in the future. No wonder the project took so long to plan and build. When all was said and done, the project required more than 1,000 hours of work. Luckily, Ominous_Hippopotamus claims that building is fun, and they say that listening to podcasts makes the job easier.
