Midnight Suns explains the story behind the hunter

Upcoming tactical RPG Marvel’s Midnight Sun gives fans a closer look at the Hunter, a brand new hero created for the game. Developed by Firaxis, the company behind the successful and critically acclaimed XCOM reboots, Marvel’s Midnight Sun offers a similar level of strategic gameplay and allows players to control their favorite Marvel heroes, including Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man and many more. The Hunter is the only character created exclusively for the game, and in a recent video posted on the game’s YouTube channel, well-known YouTuber Comicstory walks fans through what makes the Hunter a different breed of hero.
The first thing to note about the Hunter is that it will be fully customizable Marvel’s Midnight Sun, where the player can change their gender, hairstyle and other things. This essentially makes the Hunter a hero that the player creates, whether they want to blend in as a crime-fighting Marvel superhero or make the craziest character possible. Besides customizing the hunter’s appearance, players can also change their abilities Marvel’s Midnight Sunand personalize their hero again as they see fit.
One of the few things players can’t seem to change is the Hunter’s backstory and how it fits into the lore Marvel’s Midnight Sun. In the game, the hunter is the child of Lilith, the mother of all demons and the main antagonist of Marvel’s Midnight Sun. Unlike the Hunter, Lilith has a background in Marvel Comics, having first appeared in a few wrong way driver Issues back in the early 1990s.
Lilith’s main goal in Marvel’s Midnight Sun is the release of Cthon, an incredibly powerful demon that some fans may already be familiar with from creating the book Darkhold used by Wanda Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Earlier in human history, Lilith and the Hunter fought, both ending up dead. But with Hydra’s technology, Lilith was resurrected along with her child, leading to the conflict seen in Marvel’s Midnight Sun.
This time the hunter may have to contend with a more powerful version of Lilith, but they won’t do it alone as they will be joined by dozens of legendary Marvel heroes. For anyone interested in learning more about the Hunter, the latest trailer for Marvel’s Midnight Sun is all about them, including a showcase of their customizable skills.
Marvel’s Midnight Sun is in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
