Xbox Game Pass is Microsoft’s subscription service that allows gamers to choose from hundreds of titles on their PC or Xbox, depending on the membership they choose. Game Pass is constantly adding new and interesting titles and many upcoming major releases such as: redfall and high in life, will be available from the first day of service. Recently, some gamers have spotted a couple of big titles that appear to be making their way into Xbox Game Pass.

Those titles were elden ring and grand theft auto 5, both of which would be major additions to the Xbox Game Pass roster. While some screenshots posted online looked like these titles were coming to Game Pass, there was another theory that instead of being available on the subscription service, elden ring and GTA5 would instead be playable via Xbox Cloud Gaming, which streams games to a user’s device. However, it appears that the titles may not be available on both services, following a statement from Microsoft.

Microsoft explained this to Eurogamer elden ring and GTA5 Showing games compatible with Game Pass and Cloud Gaming was an error. Microsoft said it was “aware of a bug that was incorrectly showing some titles as available with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.” According to the company, a fix for this bug has been rolled out, and that elden ring and GTA5 Store pages have since been updated, removing mention of availability with Xbox Game Pass.
